Methodological Support for Assessing the Impact of Dynamic Environment Factors on the Resistance of the Regional Economic System (Using the Example of the Tula Region)

In modern conditions, it is of particular importance to maintain the stability of regional economic systems. The subject of the study is to assess the sustainability of the regional economic system. The research used methods such as analysis, synthesis, generalization, abstraction, modeling, induction, and deduction. The topic of the work is to refine the existing methodological tools in order to obtain timely and accurate results of assessing the resistance of the regional economic system. The theoretical aspects of the concept of sustainable development of the regional economic system are outlined, and modern basic approaches to this term are considered. Methodological support for assessing the region’s resistance in modern realities has been developed. Ways of maintaining the resistance of the regional economy are proposed. In particular, the study was conducted on data from the Central Federal District and the Tula region. A variant of the preservation of territorial resistance is proposed, the scaling of which is possible in the new economic realities. The author’s research has revealed vulnerable areas in the context of the sustainability of the economy and the impact of sanctions on various fields of activity. The results of the study can be useful in developing the socio-economic policy of the region. An adequate and accurate assessment of the sustainability of the system will ensure the economic development of the territorial entity and the country as a whole.
