Method of analysis of dynamics of cavitation test samples destruction

An improved method of acoustic cavitation research using erosion test samples has been proposed and tested. This method involves the documentation of the process through video recording and subsequent data analysis in an automated manner using computer software. The software utilizes the OpenCV and scikit-learn libraries of the Python programming language. The relevance of the issue of monitoring cavitation activity and measuring the rate of cavitation erosion as one of the methods for monitoring it are discussed. The advantages of the developed method for analyzing the dynamics of destruction of cavitation test samples are indicated. The findings of the research can be further used in the development of equipment for controlling cavitation activity and methods of controlling the dynamics of cavitation area development.
