Methodology for the formation of media skills in the system of additional education

The article proposes an original author's method of teaching students and specialists in media skills. A retrospective analysis of the principles of additional education is given. The author substantiates his understanding of the principles of additional education, relying on the philosophical works of E. V. Ilyenkov and V. V. Davydov, who formulated the super task of the teacher with the formula “to teach to think”. Based on this task, the results of the activity of the media workshop on the formation of students' media skills have been analyzed. In total, 79 students have been trained in the system of additional professional education. The article summarizes the results obtained in the empirical study. A conclusion is made about the effectiveness of the developed methodology, since as a result 50 different media were created, and the students' assessment of the need to master media skills decreased by 38% on average. It is also concluded that it is possible to extrapolate the methodology to form high standards of media education in society.
