The article discusses methods and techniques that contribute to the formation of speech culture in primary school children. Special attention is paid to theoretical (conversation, teacher's story, independent study of the textbook material) and practical (learning to work with reference literature; maintaining dictionaries; composing phrases and sentences; correcting errors) methods.
