Methods of operation of a biogas plant in the conditions of the Baikal region

The article presents the existing problems of processing pig farm manure effluents under the harsh climatic conditions of the Baikal region and suggests a more efficient biogas technology. The object of the study is the method of operation of the biogas plant BGU-2 with a biofilter in a methane tank installed in the boiler room of an agricultural enterprise. The general view of the methane tank and the anaerobic biofilter technological scheme for processing pig farm manure effluents, developed by us based on the results of laboratory studies, is presented. The operating procedure of BSU-2 describes the technological process of processing manure effluents to obtain biogas and organic fertilizers.
