The focus of modern researchers is on the problem of developing effective methods for organizing independent work of students of higher educational institutions studying Russian as a foreign language. The humanistic approach is particularly emphasized. Within the framework of this article, appropriate strategies are considered that not only improve linguistic competencies, but also promote independence, increase motivation (interest), and cultural understanding. The described methods combine modern pedagogical conceptual developments with practical application, providing a comprehensive basis for teachers.
