This article discusses the definition of the methodology of teaching computer science as a pedagogical science, its object, subject, and its specifics. The article is aimed at forming an understanding of the methodology of teaching computer science as a science. Teaching methodology is a branch of pedagogical science that explores the educational process in order to increase its effectiveness. It includes a set of methods, rules, and learning tools. The main components of the relationship between the methodology of teaching computer science as a science and the basic concepts of the educational process are also identified. Many of the professional knowledge and working methods (including the use of ICT tools) that primary school students acquire are related to computer science.
