The article addresses the necessary modern methods of teaching students-choreograph-ers for the development of their performing skills. The main methodological purpose of the study is to identify the possibility of using traditional methods and forms of education existing in general methodology and pedagogy of choreography together with modern methods and forms of education in the field of developing education. The main objectives of the study are to reveal the peculiarities of teaching classical dance performance skills and to prove the possibility of using traditional methods in combination with modern ones. In the course of the study, there were used both theoretical methods such as analysis, synthesis, and generalization and practical methods such as observation and comparison.
