Methodological aspects of supporting the professional development of teachers

The article is devoted to the issues of methodological, psychological and organizational-pedagogical substantiation and provision of support for the professionalization of teachers in the vocational education system. The purpose of the study is to systematize, understand and propose potentially effective strategies for supporting the professional development of college and technical school teachers. The methodological basis was the axiology of forecasting the development of the vocational education system (V. I. Blinov, I. S. Sergeev, etc.), andragogical theory in terms of managing the professional development of teaching staff in secondary vocational education organizations (L. N. Dukhanina, T. M. Rezer, etc.), and domestic theories of personal and professional development of teachers (N. S. Glukhanyuk, E. F. Zeer, L. M. Mitina, etc.). The research methods included studying, analyzing, and synthesizing scientific literature, as well as content analysis of information from Internet sources about programs for improving the qualifications of vocational education teachers implemented in a specific region (Sverdlovsk Region). The key result of the study was the conclusion about the fragmentary and unaddressed nature of the advanced training courses offered to teachers and, as a consequence, the need to model the system for supporting the professional development of teachers. The practical significance of the study is the description of the trajectories of professional development of teachers, the implementation of which is possible within the framework of the proposed model of support for the professional development of teachers (attracting a contingent; monitoring and selection of personalized content of educational programs; partnership participation in the implementation of programs; mentoring; competency assessments; motivation for professional self-development). In conclusion, the need for an educational logistics center in the field of postgraduate professional and pedagogical support for the development of vocational teachers, which can function, among other things, in the format of a digital platform, is updated.
