Methodological basis for the content improving of social science education in a Ukrainian modern school

In this article the changes are shown in the views of semantic load priorities in subjects like social studies and similar to it, in historical retrospective. Also factors were revealed that influenced the content of social science, in its gradual «humanization» and applied life orientation. Besides, the article highlights the main stages in the formation of school social science education of XX century and tendencies in its development. On this basis, the conceptual approaches were outlined for improving of school social science education in Ukraine at the present stage of its development.
