The article deals with the issues of psychological and pedagogical support of the educational process of students aimed at the formation of the professional structure of the personality of students, primarily the value-motivational sphere, the improvement of professional plans, the development of their critical thinking. Undoubtedly, one of the most important tasks of the teaching staff of the university is the formation of motivation among students to receive professional education. The theoretical and methodological basis of the conducted research is the hypothesis that the main direction of psychological and pedagogical support of students should be the work aimed at forming a system-forming block of personality, the basis of which is primarily the value-motivational sphere of personality. Another important practical task is the development of critical thinking, which serves as the basis for training a specialist who has not only a sufficient level of professional competence, but also capable of self-development. The article analyzes the main methods of psychocorrective work with students aimed at professional personal growth, which, in the absence of specialized units for psychological and pedagogical support, can be applied during practical classes in the discipline "Psychology".
