The article considers the methodological issues of investigating corruption crimes in Mongolia. The concept of a public official, classification and categories of public service positions such as political officials, public administrative officials, special civil service officials and civil service officials are revealed. The peculiarities of the tactics and methods of interrogation and information collection, inspection and search, and investigation planning are revealed. The conclusion is argued about the fundamental importance of improving the skills and capabilities of investigators appointed to investigate corruption crimes.
