Methodology of pedagogical support to students' self-determination

Pedagogical support to students' self-determination is one of the urgent tasks of the modern educational process, however, in the literature there is no unified methodological approach to research and technology that will ensure the performance of this professional function. The purpose of this study is to select and validate the methodology applicable for the formation of this parameter and suitable for the implementation of pedagogical support. To achieve this goal the following methods were used: analysis of the existing methodological approaches, dialectical synthesis based on the analysis of the literature, and the method of design and implementation for a pedagogical model. The author offers a concept of pedagogical support for students' self-determination based on a system-synergetic approach and provides the rationale for the use of system-synergetic approach and additional tools for teacher training in students’ self-determination. The methodological approach described can be applied to the development of methodical recommendations aimed to train teachers how to provide pedagogical support to facilitate students’ self-determination.
