Methods and receptions of work with historical sources and historical map when studying the topic the "Great Patriotic War 1941-1945"

This article is devoted to the use of visual and research methods of teaching students in the process of studying history. As part of his undergraduate practice, the author conducted an experiment, the basis of which was the conduct of 8 lessons and extra-curricular activities dedicated to studying the theme of the Great Patriotic War in 9th grade. Based on the positive results of the pedagogical experiment among 9th grade pupils, the effectiveness of using regional history materials and a visual teaching method to solve the problem of studying complex topics of the school history course was revealed.
