Способность регулировать эмоциональные состояния является одним из показателей психического здоровья и уровня психосоциального развития личности. В связи с этим, разработка способов оценки и диагностики характеристик эмоциональной регуляции представляется актуальной задачей в области клинической психологии. В статье рассмотрены методологические трудности в понимании процессов эмоциональной регуляции и описаны методы ее оценки. Представленные самооценочные методы включают «Шкалу трудностей эмоциональной регуляции», «Опросник когнитивно-эмоциональной регуляции», «Опросник эмоциональной регуляции», и Структурированное интервью эмоциональной регуляции. Среди рассмотренных экспериментальных методов оценки используется методика Струпа с эмоциональными стимулами, техника «Экспериментальная манипуляция стратегиями эмоциональной регуляции», и «Имплицитный ассоциативный тест эмоциональной регуляции».
