Methods of application of the local history regional component of the school history course in the 9th grades on the example of the history of the Stavropol territory during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)

The article is devoted to the study of the relevance of the application of the regional component of local lore in history lessons in high school in the process of forming civil-patriotic competence. The author analyzed the methods and techniques of museum pedagogy, as well as the use of local history material in history lessons in the 9th grades. The main methods of teaching were research and problem-based learning. In practice, experimental lessons and extracurricular activities on the history of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) were conducted. As a result of the lessons, conclusions were drawn about the effectiveness of using regional local history material on the example of the history of the Stavropol Territory during the Great Patriotic War to form patriotism among students.
