Between meaning and cause: the fate of the humanities and theology in the context of contemporary ideas about the nature of scientific methodology

Modern science is trying to leave as much as possible from the concepts of value and meaning, being engaged in the first place by causality. Unlike the meaning, causality refers only to itself. In this case, the personality disappears from the subject field of the scientist. For the analysis of Big data and work with protocol sentences hermeneutics is no longer needed. Traditional humanities losing its way, it is obvious to any modern scientist. Perhaps its support will be theology, which in the Middle Ages laid the foundation of modern humanitarian disciplines. At the same time, science has long become an element of power, a very clearly expressed material, economic, social factor of our reality. Its current state requires a comprehensive theological reflection, finding place of contemporary science in the scale of the Christian philosophy of history. This function could be assumed by theology of science.
