International legal problems of statelessness

Statelessness of persons is an urgent problem of public international law, since at present more than 10 million people are not considered citizens by any state by virtue of its law. The aim of the work is to identify the causes of statelessness and its consequences, as well as to analyze international normative acts on statelessness and identify problems in this area. The study revealed that trafficking in women causes problems related to the identification of their identity and nationality. There is also a problem with orphans, since in many cases this negatively affects their citizenship.
