International customs cooperation in the field of combating illicit drug trafficking

The article presents the most important international documents and examines their impact on the cooperation of states in the fight against illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The importance of the existence of international legal norms for countering the drug threat on a global scale by universal actions was noted. The beneficial cooperation of the Russian Federation with other countries and unions in the fight against illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances is presented. Examples of the suppression of large-scale illegal trafficking at the domestic level, identified by the Federal Customs Service, are also shown. The problems requiring solutions in a certain direction are identified.
