Logistics cross-functional coordination model for freight forwarding activities

Formation and development of logistics as a new scientific knowledge, changing its paradigms occurred by complicating the relationship between the participants in the processes of production, distribution and exchange as a result of a number of systemic trends in the economy. Progress and modernization of the productive forces of society largely altered the nature of economic relations and highlighted the ideology of service. The article explains that one of the most important factors of economic growth in recent years is the development of the logistics market and the creation of integrated logistics systems. The author notes that freight forwarding companies evolve from logistics operators, such as carriers, terminal and warehousing companies, customs brokers, logistics providers to a high level - logistics business processes system integrators. The article concludes that, although in recent decades logistics market developed quite rapidly, is still not developed an adequate strategy of positioning the company in the market of freight forwarding services from the point of view of the application of its core competencies, which are as much as possible can be used, along with the offer of services in the supply chain to other operators or consumers (clients), based on their market competitive advantage. The article suggests a possible approach to the development of cross-functional logistics coordination models on the market of freight forwarding services, the implementation of which, among other things, will improve the competitiveness and business-stability of the national logistics operators, to ensure the reliability and timeliness of deliveries, as well as to achieve a high level of service consumers.
