Intergenerational transmission of mental trauma, psychogenesis and mental health in the family (phenomenological study)

The article considers the phenomenon of intergenerational transmission of psychological trauma of attachment in the family in the aspect of the formation of a mentally healthy person in a family system favorable for development. The aim of the study was a phenomenological study of the experience of intergenerational transmission of trauma of attachment disorders based on testing data, motivational interviews and qualitative in-depth genealogy analysis received from respondents in Russian families. In the course of the study, the psychological characteristics of experiencing psychological trauma of attachment disorder in women were studied, and the characteristics of the intergenerational transmission of mental trauma of attachment disorder in parent-child relationships in different generations of five extended families were investigated and described.
