One of the signs of modern mass culture was the emergence of a large amount of literature on the use of strategic knowledge in relation to the interests and goals of the average layman. Strategic discourse, which in the recent past was characteristic primarily of military affairs, has now found its application to other spheres of human activity and society. The present article analyzes the works of Robert Greene and Daniel Bolelli, which can justifiably be classified as this kind of literature. The authors not only actively expand the space of military rhetoric, but also point to the philosophical nature of their work. The results of the study show that the synthesis of military and philosophical terminology with the publicistic form of presentation constructs a subject who does not draw clear boundaries between states of war and peace.
