"Minimal group paradigm" in Henry Tajfel's theory of social identity

The "minimal group" studies carried out by H. Tajfel have let to obtain the confirmations that in the intergroup situation the certain processes exist which reveal themselves in the subjects' behaviour and lead towards strong intergroup differentiation, caused neither by hostility preceding the beginning of the research, nor by any "objective" interests' conflict between groups, existing in the course of the research, nor by simple egoistic interests of the subjects.
