Settlement agreement: the problem of defining the concept

In this article, the author examines the problem of defining the concept of a settlement agreement. The author analyzes the regulatory framework governing public relations emerging in connection with the conclusion of a settlement agreement. The article notes the absence of a legal definition of the concept of a settlement agreement in the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, as well as the lack of a uniform generally accepted definition of this legal phenomenon in the science of civil procedure.
