The mission of humanities scientists and the strategic development of Russia: the third Russian humanitarian forum

The article summarizes the results of the plenary and sectional discourses of the third Russian humanitarian forum “Humanities as a resource for the consolidation of society and strengthening of Russian identity”, held on may 16-17, 2019 at the Moscow state Institute of culture. The main attention is paid to the issues of human development as a resource of social development in the aspects of its humanistic position, worldview and activity orientation. In parallel, the discussion on the scientific practice of humanitarian universities scientists is summarized. The necessity of correction of humanitarian researches towards implementation of national projects of development of Russia, professional orientation of educational humanitarian process is considered. Some attention is paid to the issues of ensuring the «author's text» in research publications, their creativity and innovative conceptuality, as well as a discussion on the evaluation of research activities of University scientists. The proposals and positions of the forum participants on the activation of humanitarians in ensuring the implementation of the breakthrough development of Russia are presented.
