The article is the continuation of a series of studies on the history of the transformation of teaching liturgics at theological seminaries at the stage of developing new curricula for the discipline. The successive step of this process began with the approval and introduction of the new Statute of Theological Seminaries of 1884, according to which liturgics was to be taught during the fourth and fifth years of education. In this context, the curricula of all disciplines, including liturgics, were also revised. To carry out the revision of the curriculum, the Chief Prosecutor of the Holy Synod addressed all higher and secondary theological educational institutions to ask teachers of the relevant disciplines to provide feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the previous curriculum of liturgics. The article presents analysis of the review by Ivan D. Mansvetov, Professor of Moscow Theological Academy, in which the prominent Russian liturgist formulated several recommendations on how to improve the curriculum of liturgics, and which were taken into account by the compilers of the new curriculum. Basically, I. D. Mansvetov proposed some reductions, elimination of duplicate topics, and expansion of the section on iconography. The appendix to the article presents the review by I. D. Mansvetov on the curriculum of liturgics.
