A multidimensional study of language play based on the Russian comedy series «Daddy’s daughters»

This study examines the TV series "Daddy's Daughters" as language material for a comprehensive analysis of language play in Russian humorous discourse. Particular attention is paid to multi-level means of comic expressiveness, such as phonetic, graphic, lexical, word-formation and rhetorical devices. The analysis focuses on homonymy, polysemy, syntactic inversions, random neologisms, metaphors and puns, etc. The results create a solid theoretical basis for further research into the mechanisms of perception and dissemination of comedy discourse in an intercultural perspective, and also contribute to the development of Russian linguacultural studies and the theory of humor.
