The complexity of the economy in Russian tourism

The article examines the phenomenon of a multicultural economy and its impact on the development of Russian tourism, analyzes the concept of multiculturalism, in particular, in the context of the development of the tourism industry. The work presents a retrospective analysis of the development of tourism in tsarist Russia, the Soviet Union and modern Russia from the perspective of the multiculturalism of the economy, identifies patterns of functioning of the tourism industry in a certain economic structure. As a working hypothesis of the study, the author assumes the belief that a multicultural economy has a positive effect on the development of the modern tourism industry, however, it is necessary to identify one way of life that will become the driver of the industry in certain conditions. The study is based on in-depth retrospective analysis of the tourism development in Russia, which demonstrated the existence of a basic structure that contributes to the active development of the industry, in the current conditions of geopolitical tension. The basis for the study was information about the specifics of the multicultural economy in Russia, as well as the formation of the tourism industry in the country. The article presents the results of a study of the concept of economic structure and the specifics of the complexity of the Russian economy, the peculiarities of the formation of the tourism industry in Russia, reflects data on the number of companies engaged in tourism in the country and defines the basic economic structure, which is the driver of tourism development at the present stage.
