Modal syntagms in English media-texts: parameters of analysis

The paper focuses on methodology aimed at discovering peculiarities of English modal verbs as realized in texts of a particular register of speech. The parameters of analysis offered by the authors provide the foundation for describing lexical and morphological-syntactic features of modal syntagms in terms of functional-pragmatic approach.
