Modal words in the system of parts of speech in Russian and Kyrgyz languages

The article is devoted to one of the topical issues of linguistics - the nature and essence of modal words in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages. The relevance of the problem under study is determined primarily by the fact that in a comparative study of the partial belonging of modal words of the Kyrgyz and Russian languages, linguistic facts can be identified that contribute to the scientific provision of effective teaching of the Russian language in the Kyrgyz-speaking audience and, conversely, the Kyrgyz language in the Russian-speaking audience. In this article, an attempt is made to analyze the place of modal words in the system of parts of speech in the compared languages, their differential signs are considered based on the material of T. Sydykbekov’s novel “People of our Days”. During the analysis of modal words in the compared languages, it was concluded that the phenomenon of homonymy in the system of parts of speech is observed in the compared languages.
