Modern trends in the economic and social development of society put forward certain requirements for an individual, among which the priority is the need for a high level of professionalism, the desire to constantly develop and learn. At the same time, specialattention is focused on the importance of developing the communicative skills of specialists. An important segment of the process of forming the communicative competence of an individual is the development of his speech strategic competence, which allows building communicative interaction taking into account various speech strategies.It is advisable to begin teaching speech strategies in the course of a comprehensive school with the aim of preparing students for future professional activities. The formation of speech strategic competence of schoolchildren is a methodologically sound and methodologically and technologically supported educational process that can be modeled and presented in the form of an appropriate pedagogical model.The purpose of the article is to develop and fill in the content and meaning of the model for the formation of speech strategic competence of schoolchildren. The components of the model were described and filled in with content: target, content-activity, reflexive.
