This article highlights the theoretical and methodological bases of research of patronage model of interaction between political and business elite. The main aspect of the analysis is the operation of the business elite as a stratum, which is typical for modern Russia. The article focuses on the basic advantages and disadvantages of the model of patronage, and also the tendencies to administrative and managerial relations of regional authorities in relation to the market actors.
