Model of future teachers’ individualized training in foreign languages

The study reveals the idea, the structural components, and the content of a model of the individualized teaching of foreign languages to students studying at the teacher’s training universities. It shows the step-by-step nature of the project-based activities of lecturers in foreign languages in order to build this model. The model consists of structural and functional components that simulate the structure of the original process. The model has a hierarchical structure; its components are subordinate; they define and substantiate each other. The elements of the model are interrelated. The structure of the model includes the following blocks: goal setting, procedure, educational interaction, effectiveness. The research shows that the implementation of the model in academic process at a teacher’s training university will improve the lecturers’ methodical skills in the individualized training of students, develop their project culture and professional competence in general and provide effective educational interaction. Besides, the Course in a Foreign Language will become student-centered and thereby ensure the success of the process of students’ individualized training.
