The obvious need to improve the social and professional mobility of graduates poses the problem of pedagogy of higher education to improve the educational process. Basing on the theoretical aspects of modeling in pedagogy and the combination of holistic, competence and linguo-didactic approaches the authors create the model of development of social and professional mobility of linguists, which includes interrelated units: target, substantial, procedural and actional, resulting and corrective. The content of the target unit is provided with the social order as the integration of the state, public and personal needs to the level of graduates’ training. Substantial unit includes the components of social and professional mobility of linguists, the system of general cultural and general general professional competencies formed within the modular training. In the procedural and actional unit there are stages (cognitive and reproductive, actional and productive, personal and creative) and the corresponding types of training. Resulting and corrective unit is characterized by levels of development of social and professional mobility of linguists, a system of criteria and indicators for each its component.
