The purpose of this study is to develop a model for ensuring the quality of processes in food industry enterprises, based on knowledge management mechanisms. To achieve this goal, general scientific methods of studying scientific literature, retrospective analysis, comparative analysis, generalization and modeling were used. Using these methods, a study is carried out of the theoretical foundations of knowledge management, international and national systems of standards in the field of knowledge management, models for improving the activities of organizations as a way to increase the effectiveness of knowledge management systems. The results of the study form the basis of a graphical model for ensuring the quality of processes in food industry enterprises, based on the concept of the «knowledge cycle», the theory of explicit and implicit knowledge management, national standards in the field of knowledge management of the GOST R series, as well as the national model for improving the activities of organizations «Award of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of quality».
