The article substantiates the model for the revival of the educational traditions of the Cossacks in the context of modern cultural institutions, based on the application of modern technologies of social and cultural activities. The author proves that social and cultural activity has a large arsenal of technologies to optimize this process, and is considered as a branch of pedagogical science that focuses on the processes of inculturation of personality in axiological field of the Cossack culture. The model is based on the principles of consistency, voluntariness and freedom of choice and includes: target, organizational, functional and substantive criteria-effective units.
