The effectiveness of the educational process depends on the lesson planning, which is determined by methodological principles of material acquiring and educational requests. In foreign language teaching these are the stages of language skills formation and speech skills development, on the one hand, and the requirements of educational standards, on the other. The article presents the traditional planning model, boomerang model, “learning street”- model, flipped classroom, blended leaning and smart planning, the author shows their effectiveness in achieving the learning goals.
