Modeling of authentic situations for the development of communicative competence when teaching a foreign language

Recommendations on the modeling of authentic situations that promote the development of communicative competence among students in a foreign language lesson are presented. Particular attention is paid to the types of exercises that prepare, structure and model oral communication. Such forms of work that motivate to speak, involve all students in a conversation and increase their activity in conversation are described. To train reasoned statements during the discussion, it is proposed to use the technologies «Aquarium», cross dialogue (Zick-Zack-Dialog), role-playing games. A detailed description of the methodology for conducting «Travel in fantasy», the results of the experiment on the work on the fairy tale «Schicksal». The proposed forms of work create a comfortable atmosphere and conditions for the awareness of each learner’s application of the acquired knowledge, skills and habits in practice.
