The need to introduce new information technologies in all spheres of human activity is becoming more and more obvious. It is hard to imagine a modern school without a computer class. A computer has become as much a necessity as a calculator, notebook, typewriter, stereo, device for accessing and storing information.

Modern information technologies offer the following features, for use in the education system: e-mail, chat, forum, blog, Web site, electronic bulletin boards, electronic libraries, access to databases, voice mail, video on various media, electronic textbooks on various media, broadcast lectures and conferences using the Internet and etc. Consider IT, the use of which is possible when learning foreign language in a non-linguistic university:

  • -    chat is a text dialogue on the Internet that can be conducted in real time, a means of operational communication of people through the Internet. Text chat option allows interlocutors to see on the monitors of their computers what they type each other. There is some experience in the use of chat in teaching practice. For educational purposes. When learning a foreign language, chatting can be used by the teacher to control the material studied, as well as students to communicate with each other in the process of working on joint projects.

  • -    the forum is a space for mass thematic communication, where special the software is a web forum. The forum has a set of topics for discussions and recruitment of forum participants. This Internet service is used in education very wide. In the training forum is currently the most common form of communication teacher and students.

  • -    e-mail (ES) is a combination of software and hardware, provide message transfer between computers. Messages may be are presented both in the form of ordinary texts and in non-textual form (programs, graphics, video, sound), in open or encrypted form. Mail delivery time may be from a few seconds to tens of minutes and depends mainly not on distances, and on the number of transitions from one network to another in the delivery process, and also from the organization of the ES service in one or another network on the way of message transmission. Getting electronic messages, as well as the preparation and sending of responses to them may be made at a time convenient for any member of the correspondence. For this reason, electronic mail belongs to noninteractive technologies implemented in the "offline" mode, since between sending a letter and receiving a reply to it usually passes some time (several minutes, hours, days, etc.). Email is one of the cheapest and relatively uncomplicated telecommunication technologies.

Success in learning a language depends on the quality of the chosen method. Each technique has its pros and cons, because they affect different sections of the language to varying degrees. To make the right choice, you need to determine what aspect of the language there is a need to pay special attention. In this article we will talk about 4 main methods of teaching English.

The communicative technique is the newest. Her main idea is to teach communication skills directly in the process of communication itself. It is customary to single out 4 basic principles of this technique.

Proper combination of the above features ensures the success of training.

This technique is characterized by diversity and constant speech activity. Sometimes students are offered pair work, sometimes group work. If preference was given to individual lessons, it means that an almost uninterrupted dialogue is conducted with the teacher. For those who are interested in speaking, this technique will seem the most optimal.

When implementing a correspondence form of teaching a foreign language, ES can be applied for:

  • -    prompt delivery of necessary educational and teaching materials, as well as administrative information for students;

  • -    prompt delivery of homework to the teacher;

  • -    feedback between the teacher and the student;

  • -    dialogue between students. Thus, when learning a foreign language, email can be used as an aid.

One of the most effective technologies for teaching a professionally-oriented foreign language is case-study. The essence of this technology lies in the fact that students are offered some problem situations (cases), most likely occurring in real life, and which require specific knowledge, skills and abilities. Students deal with these problem situations in groups, taking into account all possible conditions and factors, and then arrive at a result.

So, a website is a collection of private documents under one address. Person or organization on a computer network. The purpose of the training site is to deliver educational and reference materials and information on the organization of the educational process, and also the implementation of methodological guidance of students. E-mail communication between teacher and student is required to exchange information (questions, tips, additional material, control tasks), allows trainees and teachers to respond quickly to received messages. An integral part of learning is self-study. In the process of self-study the student can study the material using printed materials, video materials, electronic textbooks and reference books. For the organization of the process of self-learning the teacher should develop guidelines for the use of all existing educational materials and provide students with access to electronic libraries and databases.

Conclusion. The use of new information technologies in teaching foreign languages undoubtedly carries with it enormous pedagogical potential, being one of the means that turns learning a foreign language into a living creative process. Of course, one should not forget that teachers, not computers. A computer is just a complex machine in the service of a person, and it will never replace a teacher.
