The basis of the production cycle of a meat processing enterprise is sausage production, and its efficiency is determined by the degree of equipment with technological machines and means of mechanization of auxiliary processes, their technical level, reliability, specific technical and economic indicators. The variety of technical operations in the sausage production process predetermines the need to use a wide range of technical machines, devices, units and mechanized flow lines. The article discusses the modernization of the ice maker. The disadvantages of this device are large losses of time for mounting and sharpening the knife. This downtime will reduce the performance of the existing icemaker. A redesigned ice maker that uses durable screw cutters that completely break ice along the substrate instead of a blunt, partially cutting ice scraper. At the same time, the loss of time for installation and sharpening of the cutting tool due to the long-term use of the cutter without alignment and sharpening is excluded, which makes the modernized ice maker reliable and efficient.
