Modernization of the Russian society and culture: social and philosophical aspect

The article focuses on the question of the driving motive of current Russian modernization, of culture as a possible source of formation. In spite of the fact that the culture more and more often is being understood as the enemy of modernization, there is every reason to believe that creative fields of culture and productive ability of the person to creativity is capable to change the existing situation.
