In the paper three coins from the Hellenistic fortress Uzundara located on the northern border of Bactria are published. The coins are surface finds collected during the excavation season of 2013. They belong to the Greek-Bactrian king Euthydemus I. All coins are of the same face value (dichalcos) and iconographic type, bearing the images of Heracles’ head / horse galloping to the right, but belong to different issues. Two coins with skew edges are of earlier date, while the third one with straight edge dates later. This clearly points to two different emissions - before and after the coinage reform carried out by Euthydemus I. New materials from the Uzundara fortress confirm the assumption, that under the rule of Euthydemus I a new system of fortified settlements was built on the northern borders of Bactria, or at least the existing one reconstructed.
