The article explores the issue of employers’ ability to monitor the behavior of workers in social networks. This monitoring is carried out by employers both over the actions of workers during working hours, and over the behavior of workers outside working hours. As a result of a comparative analysis, the legal consequences of monitoring employers' internet profiles of workers have been investigated and the problem of achieving a balance between the conflicting private interests of employers and workers in applying social networks to the latter has been identified.
