The results of diagnostics obtained on the basis of test technologies concerning the structure of knowledge of selected students are presented in this article. Comparative analysis of experimental findings in formation of structure of knowledge in current and final inspection shows changes in the volume of students' knowledge. Monitoring investigations in diagnostics make it possible to get qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the level of formation of the students' structure of knowledge. The data obtained help to reveal gaps while forming structure of knowledge and to map out the ways for raising the quality of teaching process.
