The aim of this study to present the results of a series of biochemical and histological assessments of the bladder and kidneys at various time points following cystostomy. The study involved 20 male rabbits, which were euthanized at 3-, 7-, 14-, and 30-days post-procedure. The proposed modification of the veterinary catheter did not interfere with the reparative regeneration of the bladder, allowing for complete restoration of its histological structure. Throughout the study period, no postoperative complications, inflammation, destructive-necrotic processes, or sclerotic changes were observed. Furthermore, the functional morphology of the kidneys remained unaffected.
