Morphological characteristics of periodontal tissues in patients suffering from diabetes after surgical treatment using erbium laser

This research work shows the results of histological examination of the oral mucosa in patients with diabetes and generalized periodontitis. The positive effect of the erbium dental laser treatment on capillary bed vessels of periodontal tissues is indicated. Morphological image of the gingiva tissue in patients with diabetes after laser treatment corresponded to the normal structure of the mucous membrane without distinct signs of inflammation.
