Introduction. Radioresistant acoustic neuroma should be removed surgically, however, their microsurgical removal after radialogical treatment is often associated with worse functional outcome than after surgery of primary acoustic neurinomas. Material and methods. In the Institute of neurosurgery, from 2007 to 2017, 39 patients with neurinomas of the auditory nerve were operated after radiological treatment. Results. A series of observations of patients with neurinomas of the auditory nerve who underwent surgical removal of the tumor after radialogical treatment is described. The analysis of morphological changes in neurinomas of the auditory nerve after radiological treatment is presented. Conclusion. Due to the development of extensive post-radiation changes in neurovascular units, surgical morbidity increases and the quality of life of the patient after surgery worsens.
