Moscow State Institute of Culture and the outstanding contemporary musician, People’s Artist of USSR and Russia A. I. Poletaev

In the article, within the framework of the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, summing up the results of cultural construction in the music industry, we are talking about the outstanding conductor of the modern era, educator, composer, People’s Artist of the USSR, Russia, Professor A. I. Poletaev. A general description of his creative path is given. The maestro’s contribution to the spiritual, creative and pedagogical potential of the university is revealed. Attention is drawn to the versatility of his activities: as a soloist-accordionist, founder and artistic director of the State Academic Russian Concert Orchestra “Boyan”, president of the International Center of Slavic Music, professor of the Moscow State Institute of Culture (class of special instrument “Accordion”, “Class of the ensemble”, “Conducting”, “Orchestral class”), the author of a large number of compositions that have firmly entered the repertoire of famous musicians and groups. His educational activities, service to the best traditions of Russian classical music, Russian folk song are a “red thread”.
