The image of Moscow in the novel "Infidel" has a symbolic sense. The capital embodies the idea of the new state which united the lands of isolated princedoms, of different peoples and various cultures. It grows and is glorified by talented people of many nationalities. In Moskovia, in the capital, complex destinies of heroes of the work intercross, therefore I.I.Lazhechnikov, representing private life against the background of important historical events, in details reproduces the center of all events, one of the main images of the work - the image of Moscow.
