Motive of spiritual sacrifice in the novels of Ch. Aitmatov (comparative aspect)

The author of the article, relying on comparative methodology, examines the features of the ideological and artistic embodiment of the motive of spiritual sacrifice in the poetics of the finals of Ch. Aitmatov's novels "And the Day Lasts Longer than a Century", «The Scaffold», «The Brand of Cassandra», «When the Mountains Fall». The motive of spiritual sacrifice in the writer is associated primarily with the synthesis of heroic and humanistic pathos, causing, in particular, the specifics of the plot construction of the finals of the writer's works. The results of the study show that the motif of spiritual sacrifice, having received formation in Ch. Aitmatov's stories, is embodied in the writer's novels with the greatest moral and philosophical depth and artistic expressiveness. The images of the heroes of Ch. Aitmatov's novels.
